The 11th edition of the Poznań Sports Gala took place on 12 January 2026 at the Zamek Culture Centre in Poznań. During the event, the sporting achievements of the past year were summarised and awards were presented to the best athletes and sports clubs in Poznań. Six of our students and representatives of our university sports club, AZS AWF Poznań, were awarded Poznań City Sports Scholarships for their outstanding sporting achievements.

Dagmara Haremza
In 2025, she secured her position within the Olympic taekwondo elite. She has repeatedly stood on the podium at national and international tournaments, winning medals at the Polish Championships and securing her place in the Polish national team by scoring points in ranking competitions.

Martyna Klatt and Jakub Stepun 
These athletes were among the top national leaders in canoeing competitions. In the 2025 season, they represented Poland at international regattas, won medals at the Polish Championships and achieved high rankings in World Cup competitions. This contributed to the success of the national team.

Martyna Jelińska (sports student), Martyna Synoradzka (psychology student) and Adrian Wojtkowiak (physical education graduate).
These three fencers were successful in both individual and team competitions. In the 2025 season, they competed successfully in national and international events. Their most notable achievement was competing in the European Championships in Genoa, where both the Polish women’s and men’s foil teams took fourth place in the team competition.

In addition, our AZS AWF Poznań sports club  been honoured a cup for coming 4th in the Youth Sports System classification in Poland (among nearly 5,000 sports clubs) and 2nd in Poznań. This achievement is a confirmation of the high standard of youth training, the consistent efforts of our coaches and athletes, and the leading position of our sports club in the country.
