Tradition and Development
The Poznan University of Physical Education has its roots in the Department of School Hygiene and Physical Education of the University of the Piasts, later the University of Poznań, which was established in 1919, as well as in the tradition and achievements of the Physical Education Department of that university. We are building an academic community that thinks interdisciplinarily, cooperates globally, and responds to real social needs, creating a stable, modern and recognisable university. We are a trustworthy centre of science, education and innovation in the field of sports, exercise and health science.
