Ten semestr zaczęliśmy naprawdę międzynarodowo. Do naszej społeczności dołączyli studenci z Grecji, Portugalii, Włoch, Hiszpanii i Turcji. Różne języki, różne temperamenty, różne kultury – a jednak od pierwszych dni widać, że świetnie odnajdują się razem.
Pierwsze wrażenie? Zimno. I to całkiem dosłownie. Tegoroczna zima zaskoczyła nie tylko ich – mroźne poranki dają się we znaki także nam. Dla osób z południa Europy to jednak zupełnie nowe doświadczenie. Śmieją się, że uczą się teraz dwóch rzeczy naraz: polskiego i tego, jak przetrwać przy minusowej temperaturze. Na szczęście atmosfera, którą wspólnie tworzymy, skutecznie rozgrzewa.
Od pierwszych dni staramy się pomóc im odnaleźć się w nowej rzeczywistości – w formalnościach, na uczelni, w mieście. Wiemy, że wyjazd na Erasmusa to ogromna odwaga. To wyjście poza to, co znane i bezpieczne. Dlatego wspieramy ich tak, jak potrafimy – rozmową, obecnością, wspólnymi wydarzeniami.
A tych nie brakuje. Było tajemniczo w Muzeum Enigma, gdzie odkrywali historię łamania szyfrów i mogli poczuć klimat prawdziwej zagadki. Było wysoko i bardzo energicznie w FlyParku – skakali, śmiali się i sprawdzali swoją kondycję w powietrzu. Było też lokalnie i słodko podczas wizyty w Rogalowym Muzeum Poznania, gdzie uczyli się sztuki „rogalowania” i poznawali historię jednego z najbardziej charakterystycznych symboli miasta.
Najpiękniejsze są jednak te zwykłe momenty: rozmowy po zajęciach, wspólne zdjęcia, spontaniczne wyjścia. Widzimy ich radość i ciekawość. Widzimy też, jak z dnia na dzień czują się coraz pewniej.
Jeden ze studentów powiedział podczas spotkania integracyjnego:
„Trochę marzniemy, ale ani przez chwilę nie żałujemy, że tu przyjechaliśmy.”
I to zdanie mówi chyba wszystko.
Cieszymy się, że wybrali właśnie AWF. Ich obecność przypomina nam, jak ważne jest otwarcie na świat i na siebie nawzajem. Bo Erasmus to nie tylko wymiana akademicka. To wymiana doświadczeń, energii i historii, które zostają z nami na długo.
Witamy Was serdecznie – dobrze, że jesteście.
We have started this semester in a truly international way. Students from Greece, Portugal, Italy, Spain, and Turkey have joined our community. Different languages, different temperaments, different cultures – and yet from the very first days it’s clear that they are finding their place together wonderfully.
First impression? Cold. Quite literally. This year’s winter surprised not only them – the frosty mornings are challenging for us as well. But for those coming from southern Europe, it’s a completely new experience. They laugh that they are learning two things at once: Polish and how to survive in sub-zero temperatures. Fortunately, the atmosphere we are creating together keeps everyone warm.
From day one, we have been doing our best to help them adjust to their new reality – with paperwork, at the university, and around the city. We know that going on Erasmus requires great courage. It means stepping outside what is familiar and safe. That’s why we support them in every way we can – through conversations, presence, and shared events.
And there have been plenty of those. It was mysterious at the Muzeum Enigma, where they discovered the history of codebreaking and experienced the atmosphere of a real puzzle. It was high-energy and literally uplifting at FlyPark, where they jumped, laughed, and tested their fitness in the air. It was local and sweet during a visit to the Rogalowe Muzeum Poznania, where they learned the art of making St. Martin’s croissants and discovered the story behind one of the city’s most iconic symbols.
Yet the most beautiful moments are the ordinary ones: conversations after classes, group photos, spontaneous outings. We see their joy and curiosity. We also see how, day by day, they feel more confident.
One of the students said during an integration meeting:
„We’re a little cold, but not for a single moment have we regretted coming here.”
And that sentence says it all.
We are truly happy they chose AWF. Their presence reminds us how important it is to stay open to the world and to one another. Because Erasmus is not only an academic exchange. It is an exchange of experiences, energy, and stories that stay with us for a long time.
