Program obejmował trzy panele dyskusyjne poświęcone przeszłości, teraźniejszości i przyszłości samorządności Doktoranckiej.

Drugie wyróżnienie, w kategorii „Współpraca Roku”, przyznano Porozumieniu Doktorantów Uczelni Kultury Fizycznej (PDUKF) za utworzenie ogólnopolskiej platformy współpracy samorządów Doktorantów uczelni z Gdańska, Katowic, Krakowa, Poznania, Warszawy i Wrocławia.

  • Akademia Kultury Fizycznej im. Bronisława Czecha w Krakowie (AKF Kraków) – mgr Katarzyna Fedejko-Kaflowska i mgr Aleksandra Błotnicka;
  • Akademia Wychowania Fizycznego im. Jerzego Kukuczki w Katowicach (AWF Katowice) – mgr Agata Latocha;
  • AWF Poznań – mgr Jakub Adamczewski i mgr Mikołaj Szymocha;
  • AWF Warszawa – mgr Michalina Gulatowska, która była również zaangażowana w organizację jubileuszu;
  • Akademia Wychowania Fizycznego im. Polskich Olimpijczyków we Wrocławiu (AWF Wrocław) – mgr Agata Tomaszczyk.

Z dziewięciu nagród ProDok 2026 aż pięć trafiło do inicjatyw i organizacji związanych z Poznaniem.

Oprócz dwóch wcześniej opisanych wyróżnień nagrody otrzymali również przedstawiciele Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu (UAM) oraz Uniwersytetu Przyrodniczego w Poznaniu (UP Poznań).

Samorząd Doktorantów UAM został laureatem dwóch kategorii: „Doktoranci Doktorantom” za działalność Zespołu ds. Praw i Obowiązków Doktoranta, zapewniającego wsparcie prawne, psychologiczne i mediacyjne, a także „Samorząd Doktorantów Roku” za całokształt działalności w roku akademickim 2025/2026.

Z kolei nagrodę „Projekt Naukowy Roku” przyznano za Program PoDEST – jedno miasto, wiele możliwości naukowych. Inicjatywa została wypracowana w ramach Poznańskiego Porozumienia Doktorantów (PPD), przy koordynującym udziale Samorządu Doktorantów UP Poznań i we współpracy z Kolegium Rektorów Miasta Poznania.

PoDEST umożliwia Doktorantom korzystanie z oferty dydaktycznej innych poznańskich uczelni i instytutów naukowych.

PDUKF w jubileuszowej monografii KRD

To ważne odnotowanie obecności naszego Porozumienia w publikacji dokumentującej dwie dekady rozwoju samorządności Doktoranckiej w Polsce.

Wspólny sukces i kolejne możliwości współpracy

🇬🇧 From 16 to 18 October 2026, Warsaw hosted the celebrations marking the 20th anniversary of the National Representation of Doctoral Students (KRD). The jubilee brought together representatives of the Doctoral Community from across Poland, providing an opportunity to reflect on two decades of KRD’s activities and discuss the future of doctoral student self-governance. One of the highlights was the ProDok 2026 Doctoral Community Awards Gala, during which two awards were presented in recognition of initiatives closely associated with Poznan University of Physical Education (AWF Poznań).

Two Decades of Doctoral Student Self-Governance

The celebrations began on 16 October at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, while the main programme continued the following day at the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. Three panel discussions focused on the past, present, and future of doctoral student self-governance.

The celebrations were also attended by Marcin Kulasek, Minister of Science and Higher Education, who highlighted the importance of dialogue and cooperation with the Doctoral Community during a panel discussion. His participation was also featured in an official communication published by the Ministry.

The anniversary provided an opportunity for representatives of different generations of doctoral student leaders to exchange experiences and reflect on the role of KRD in representing Doctoral Students and improving the conditions for their education and scientific development.

The Józef Piłsudski University of Physical Education in Warsaw (AWF Warszawa) was also involved as one of the co-organisers of the anniversary celebrations.

Two ProDok 2026 Awards for AWF Poznań and PDUKF

The most significant moment of the celebrations for our Doctoral Community was the ProDok 2026 Awards Gala, held on 17 October at the Royal Castle in Warsaw. During the ceremony, two initiatives originating from Doctoral Students’ Day, organised on 14 May 2026 at AWF Poznań, received national recognition.

The first award, in the Initiative of the Year category, was presented to the Doctoral Students’ Council of AWF Poznań for organising Doctoral Students’ Day. The event brought together representatives of all six Polish universities specialising in physical education and sport sciences, as well as national and local doctoral student organisations. Its programme combined the exchange of experiences, presentations of good practices in doctoral student self-governance, and networking. One of its most important outcomes was the signing of the founding agreement establishing a new inter-university organisation.

The award was accepted on behalf of the Council by Jakub Adamczewski, MSc, Chair of the Doctoral Students’ Council of AWF Poznań, and Mikołaj Szymocha, MSc, Secretary of the Council. Jakub Adamczewski also delivered an acceptance speech as Chair of the award-winning Council.

The second award, in the Collaboration of the Year category, was presented to the Agreement of Doctoral Students of Physical Education Universities (PDUKF) in recognition of the establishment of a nationwide cooperation platform connecting Doctoral Students’ Councils from Gdańsk, Katowice, Kraków, Poznań, Warsaw, and Wrocław.

The founding agreement of PDUKF was signed during Doctoral Students’ Day at AWF Poznań. Since then, the organisation has continued to develop inter-university cooperation, facilitating the exchange of experiences, the development of joint positions, and initiatives supporting Doctoral Students at physical education universities.

The award was accepted by Jakub Adamczewski, MSc, Chair of PDUKF, who also delivered an acceptance speech on behalf of the organisation. He was joined on stage by representatives of its member universities, celebrating an achievement shared by the entire community.

Both awards hold particular significance for us. Doctoral Students’ Day was recognised as an outstanding initiative, while PDUKF, established during that event, was honoured as an example of lasting inter-university collaboration. Together, these awards recognise activities that extend beyond a single event and generate long-term benefits for the Doctoral Community.

Representatives of Five Physical Education Universities at the Anniversary

The 20th anniversary celebrations were attended by seven PDUKF representatives from five of its six member universities:

  • University of Physical Education in Kraków (AKF Kraków) – Katarzyna Fedejko-Kaflowska, MSc, and Aleksandra Błotnicka, MSc;
  • Jerzy Kukuczka Academy of Physical Education in Katowice (AWF Katowice) – Agata Latocha, MSc;
  • AWF Poznań – Jakub Adamczewski, MSc, and Mikołaj Szymocha, MSc;
  • AWF Warszawa – Michalina Gulatowska, MSc, who was also involved in organising the anniversary celebrations;
  • University of Physical Education in Wrocław (AWF Wrocław) – Agata Tomaszczyk, MSc.

The strong representation of PDUKF provided another opportunity to strengthen relationships, discuss joint initiatives, and further develop the cooperation established in Poznań in May 2026.

Five ProDok 2026 Awards for the Poznań Doctoral Community

This year’s Gala was particularly successful for the wider Poznań Doctoral Community. Five of the nine ProDok 2026 awards recognised organisations and initiatives associated with Poznań.

In addition to the two awards described above, representatives of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (UAM) and Poznań University of Life Sciences (UP Poznań) were also recognised.

The Doctoral Students’ Council of UAM received two awards: Doctoral Students for Doctoral Students, recognising its Doctoral Students’ Rights and Responsibilities Team, which provides legal, psychological, and mediation support, and Doctoral Students’ Council of the Year, acknowledging its activities throughout the 2025/2026 academic year.

The Scientific Project of the Year award was presented for PoDEST – One City, Many Scientific Opportunities. The programme was developed within the framework of the Poznań Agreement of Doctoral Students (PPD), coordinated by the Doctoral Students’ Council of UP Poznań in cooperation with the Conference of Rectors of the City of Poznań.

PoDEST enables Doctoral Students to participate in educational activities offered by other universities and research institutes in Poznań. The agreement, signed by 12 institutions in January 2026, established a lasting framework for local academic mobility and interdisciplinary development.

Receiving five awards represents important recognition for the Poznań Doctoral Community and highlights the value of initiatives undertaken both within individual universities and through wider inter-university collaboration.

PDUKF Featured in KRD’s Anniversary Monograph

The 20th anniversary celebrations were also accompanied by the publication of the monograph “20 lat samorządności doktoranckiej w Polsce” (20 Years of Doctoral Student Self-Governance in Poland), published in 2026 by Adam Marszałek Publishing House.

The publication explores the history and development of doctoral student self-governance, the activities of KRD, and the contemporary challenges facing representatives of the Doctoral Community. In the section devoted to agreements between Doctoral Students’ Councils, PDUKF is identified as the youngest of the listed organisations, having been established in 2026.

Its inclusion in this anniversary publication is an important acknowledgement of PDUKF’s place within the continuing development of doctoral student self-governance in Poland.

Information about the monograph is available on the official KRD 360 project website.

A Shared Achievement and New Opportunities for Cooperation

The two ProDok 2026 awards represent important recognition for the Doctoral Students’ Council of AWF Poznań and everyone involved in organising Doctoral Students’ Day and developing PDUKF.

We would like to thank the representatives of all six member councils for their commitment, openness to collaboration, and continued efforts to strengthen PDUKF. We also extend our gratitude to all individuals and institutions supporting these initiatives.

We congratulate the other ProDok 2026 award recipients, particularly the representatives of UAM and UP Poznań, whose achievements contributed to the remarkable success of the Poznań Doctoral Community.

The 20th anniversary of KRD demonstrated the importance of commitment, dialogue, and cooperation in strengthening the Doctoral Community. These awards are not only a source of satisfaction but also an inspiration to continue developing initiatives that benefit Doctoral Students across Poland.
